Ilustration Toward Books The Wager (The Bet #2)

THE WAGER Lose a bet, lose your heart... What is it about a junior-high crush that can send an otherwise intelligent woman into a tailspin? TV reporter Char Lynn wishes she knew. Jake Titus is too rich, too handsome, too arrogant: a trifecta that once lured Char into the best night-and worst morning-after-of her life. Now they've been thrown together in a wedding party. It's awkward, but survivable . . . until Jake stops acting like a jerk, and starts acting like the man she'd always hoped he could be. If watching your brother marry your best friend is weird, being attracted to your best friend's other best friend is downright bizarre. Unfortunately for Jake, Char hasn't forgotten how he once tossed her aside. Worse still, Jake's already-nutty grandma is even crazier about Char. Cue meet-cute shenanigans and all manner of meddling, and somehow, Jake's falling. For Char. Now all he has to do is make her believe it . . .

Notice Based On Books The Wager (The Bet #2)
It was a toss up on who made the story more entertaining, Jake or his Granny, "sweetheart, I'm the one wearing hearing aids, not you. I called you a wh***. Would you like me to spell it for you, too?" She nudged Jake. "What did you do? Find her at a high school career fair?" And then ins a horrifyingly loud voice she began spelling. "W-H-O-R-E." To say that Granny is teaching Jakey-boy a lesson is an understatement but when she questions his orgasm making skills he gets a little perturbed,

This was even funnier than the first book!I had my doubts going into this one because I wasn't too crazy about Jake's character in The Bet but I was pleasantly surprised by his development in this book. He proved to be more than a mindless jerk and displayed his vulnerable side which went a long way toward redeeming him in my eyes.As usual, Grandma Nadine takes the cake for the most insane, hilarious character ever. Even though she proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that she did not understand

I loved listening to this book. I loved The Bet, but I think I loved this one more. I want to grow up to be Grandma Nadine. Her character was what made this book very enjoyable.

Rachel Van Dykens The Bet will always have a special place in my heart, not just because it was the first book I reviewed for my blog, but because the complicated love triangle between the Titus brothers and their childhood friend, Kacey one of the funniest, sweetest, and most heartwarming stories Ive had the pleasure of reading. In The Wager, Jake Titus gets to redeem himself from his previous womanizing ways when he comes in close contact with childhood friend and former fling, Char Lynn.

Very funny romanticcharming fairy-tale like love story...and quite touching.....Grandma Nadine is back! This time she has her heart set on ruining Jake, in a good way ;) I laughed so hard with all her antics here. Jake and Char never knew what hit them. Char has been pining for Jake since they were grade schoolers... then after a one night stand where Jake just left her, she's out to get even. But Grandma Nadine has other plans. All this is happening during the preparation of Kasey and Travis

Let me start off by telling you how much I love this series! Rachel really can write sweet, sexy, funny stories! Her characters have me laughing out loud throughout the book. Especially Grandma! That woman is a riot, some of the things she pulls off are beyond hilarious. Jake Titus....what a fine specimen that man is! But, he's a jackass, he proved that in The Bet. However, you get more in depth with Jake in The Wager. He realizes how much he has thrown away and how his actions hurt those he

I received this book from GCP via NetGalley.I am eying Rachel Van Dyken's book since her book "The Bet" landed on New York Time Bestseller List. However, I do not really like love triangle plot so I do not pick "The Bet" up to read yet. However, since this book had been offered on NetGalley and I like the blurb, I decided to request it. I usually request the book I am more than likely to love. I really hate to write a low star review. It is not easy and uncomfortable. Sadly this book is one of
