I got this book from the library and sat down thinking, 'Okay, it's not that big. It isn't my type of book at all. Why did I get this again?'. Then i remembered my friends wonderful review and I decided I would go ahead and read it. The real reason I picked this one up: I dig the cover. Hadnt read anything by Sandell, but I had heard good things about Song of the Sparrow. A great story of loss and a family struggle to carry on after a part of them is gone. Very touching story.



I read this book in high school, over 9 years ago. It's a quick read. I only remembered bits and pieces when I decided to read it again but the same enjoyment I had for it back then, I have for it now, if not a little more.
