This audio book did not work for me on so many levels. I didnt like the heroine, I didnt like the hero. I didnt care for the supporting characters. I thought parts of it were downright stupid and it emphasizes all the reasons I do not read Ms. Roberts trilogies any longer.Thats it in a nutshell though I suppose I should give a bit more detail, otherwise it will sound like one of those crap reviews that can be found on Amazon.I have to start out by saying Ive loved Nora Roberts for a long time. IThe most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire. Ferdinand FochRating: MA: mature audience, mature themes, over the top graphic descriptions of sexual encounters. Blurb: as the deadline for breaking a centuries-old curse draws near, they must take the first step toward destinyand come together to turn back the darkAt the beginning of this story, two phases of the curse had already been met. .Review: Supernatural power that are shown is too good to be described, a woman who lived on island and have some secret hidden on the island and they have history to fight them. Some real mature people do sometimes take wrong decision and that take them away from the one they love the most and Sam returns for Mia as the owner of the hotel and he try to protect her from any danger that fall on her, spirit try to attack Mia and getting her in to road accident but she got saved apparently and
I think I liked this book more than the others. That being said, I wasn't bowled over by it. I find Mia to be the most compelling in the series so I was expecting more. However, reading it was like reading the other books. It was a pleasant read but nothing really wowed me. One of the things I was looking forward to in Mia's story was her and Sam's past. The reasoning as to why he left was there but I just didn't feel anything. It felt like reading a well crafted book but I wasn't emotionally
Sometimes in a trilogy, the third book seems to lose something. It is almost as if the author is trying to stretch the story too far. Fortunately for the readers, this doesn't happen in this series! Nora Roberts produces a third book about the final important character on the Three Sisters Island. As usual she maintains the storyline while opening up a new tale about another woman that is directly associated with the other two from the previous books in the series. Face the Fire is about a
Somehow this third segment just seems less interesting than the first two, in spite of a few very exciting events. 3.5 rounded up to 4.
I KNEW THIS WOULD BE MY FAVOURITE! I was so sure that something was missing on the previous 2 books but I just couldn't figure out what it was. I still can't but I know after reading book 3 that it definitely has something the others didn't, even though I can't exactly say what, lol. Kinda messed up, anybody got that?I had been waiting to get to know Sam since he was first mentioned on the previous books. I wasn't sure if he would be the perfect mate for our amazing Mia (which was always my fav.
